Safe tattoo removal at Eira Hospital
Tattoo removal in Finland has been moved to hospitals and health centres so that professionally competent staff can take responsibility for the treatment. Professional expertise and good equipment ensures that treatment is safe and effective.
The laser beam breaks up the tattoo ink capsules without damaging the skin. The treatment focuses only on the tattooed area and does not react to untattooed skin. The treatment leaves no scars as the skin is not damaged, only the ink pigments.
NEW METHOD SPEEDS UP TREATMENT
Eira Hospital is the only one in Finland to use the latest R0 method, which allows up to four treatments in the same day. As the tattoo is removed level by level, several treatments are required in order to remove a large tattoo. Thanks to the new method, the treatment series is shortened markedly and, in the best case scenario, only two R0 treatments may be required for a small tattoo.
Thanks to the R0 treatment method, a layer of skin can be treated in 5–10 minutes, after which a calming fluid is applied. The fluid allows the same area to be treated again after a short pause. The same area can be treated up to four times on the same day, with 8–12 weeks between treatment days. Efficient treatment days save time, especially for customers who live far away.
Pain relief available with cryo cooling and local anesthesia
Customers are often concerned about pain associated with laser tattoo removal. Unfortunately pain is unavoidable both when getting a tattoo and having it removed. Please mention if you have fears concerning tattoo removal, and you can also bring another person along for support during the treatment.
NEW! Zimmer Cryo7 cooling is now available for local pain relief of the treated skin area. The cooling device blows cold area on the skin before and after laser treatment, effectively preventing and relieving pain sensation so that anesthetic cream is not necessarily needed. The Cryo7 cooling included in the tattoo removal price.
In addition, EMLA emulsion cream can be used for local anesthesia to ease the pain. The cream can be bought at pharmacies without a prescription, and the customer must purchase the emulsion cream themselves before the tattoo removal appointment. The emulsion cream is applied to the treatment area about 2 hours before the treatment, under a protective film. You can get more information about Cryo7 cooling and the use of emulsion cream during your consultation appointment.
